Today, one year ago at this time (8.21am) i walked to the theatre with bag of nerves, uncertain of what my future lies.... I was about to be implanted with cochlear implant and it was last year!!!! Cannot believe how the year went! It went so quick! Roll on 20th August for my offical hearing birthday....

Happy 1 year CI anniversity! How are you hearing with CI, what's your latest audiogram? What's your speech reception(without reading lips) up to now? Hows your HA in the other ear doing? Plan to get stem cells to improve hearing?

You were a bag of nerves!! I had so much going through my head- would you be ok from the operation, would you be able to hear anything, would you like my voice when you were switched on? would you hear the cat purr what would music sound like?
Well a year later and you are hearing better than I ever hoped you would and most of that is down to your determination to succeed. Well done we are very proud of your achievement.
